This Privacy Policy describes how Softlat (“Softlat”, “we”) processes the personal data of people who visit softlat.com, contact us, or use the mobile applications we publish.
Softlat is a custom software development agency. The legal entity responsible for the processing is René Arturo Pérez Rodríguez (a sole proprietorship / “empresa unipersonal”, Tax ID NIT 9392542016). 1. Data controller
The party responsible for processing personal data is René Arturo Pérez Rodríguez (a sole proprietorship / “empresa unipersonal”, Tax ID NIT 9392542016), operating under the commercial name “Softlat” through the site softlat.com.

2. Data we collect on the website
We measure visits and site performance with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. We use it only to know how many people visit each page, where they come from, what kind of device they use and how fast the page loads, so we can improve the site. According to Cloudflare, this service does not use cookies or local storage to measure, does not identify people by their IP address or their browser, and does not log the parameters of the web address. Also according to Cloudflare, detailed data is kept for 7 days and after that only in aggregated form, available for up to six months.
The site does not load fonts, images or any other third-party resources. The only one is that analytics script.
The site stores two pieces of data in your browser. Neither is personal and neither leaves your browser:
- a flag in session storage (sessionStorage) noting that you have already seen the Home page's opening animation, so it isn't shown again, which is cleared when you close the tab;
- only if you choose the light or dark theme in the footer, that preference in local storage (localStorage), which is cleared when you choose «System» again.
The contact form stores nothing, neither on the site nor in a database. With what you type (your name, your email, the project type, the problem you want to solve, who decides and the state of the budget) it builds a message that you send yourself from your WhatsApp account or your email. Nothing reaches Softlat until you send it. Any subsequent handling of that message takes place over WhatsApp and email, for the sole purpose of replying to your request.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process the data in the message you send us for the sole purpose of handling your enquiry, preparing a proposal and maintaining the commercial communication you initiate. The legal basis is your consent, given when you voluntarily send us the information, and our legitimate interest in responding to those who contact us.
We use the Cloudflare Web Analytics measurements, which identify no one, only to improve the site's content and speed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the site working well.
On this website we do not use your data for third-party advertising, nor do we sell or transfer it for commercial purposes.
4. Data in our mobile applications
In addition to the website, Softlat publishes mobile applications (for example, on Google Play and the App Store). Each application has its own privacy data-safety listing and, where applicable, its own specific policy, which prevails over this one for that application.
In general, an application may process categories such as: account data (for example, name, email, or sign-in identifier), usage data (interactions within the app), and device data (technical identifiers required for operation and security).
Processing within each application is based on the user's consent and/or the performance of the service the app provides, and is limited to what is necessary for that purpose.
5. Data retention
We retain contact data only for as long as necessary to handle your request and the resulting commercial relationship, and thereafter for the periods required by applicable law.
In applications with a user account, data is retained while the account is active and is deleted or anonymized after closure, unless there is a legal obligation to retain it.
6. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, and restriction of processing at any time.

7. Minors
Our services and website are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If a specific application is directed at minors, its privacy listing will state so and will apply the corresponding safeguards.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal changes or changes to our services. We will publish the current version on this same page, indicating the last-updated date.
