Atrévete Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy describes how Atrévete handles data. Atrévete is the party and couples game for people over 18 that Softlat (“Softlat”, “we”) offers on Google Play.
Atrévete is played offline: what you write in the app stays on your phone. The only things that use the internet are Google's ads and the purchase of the license on Google Play. For Atrévete, this policy prevails over Softlat's general Privacy Policy. For any enquiry, write to us at contacto@softlat.com or via WhatsApp at +591 639 96379.
1. Data controller
Atrévete is offered by René Arturo Pérez Rodríguez (a sole proprietorship / “empresa unipersonal”, Tax ID NIT 9392542016), under the commercial name “Softlat”. Address: Cochabamba, Bolivia. Contact email for privacy matters: contacto@softlat.com.
Softlat is responsible for what the app does with data inside your phone. The data collected by Google's ads component is processed by Google, under its own policies, as explained in section 3. The payment for the license is processed by Google Play, as explained in section 6.
This policy covers the Google Play version of Atrévete. If the app is published in another store, we will update this policy beforehand. Visiting this web page is governed by Softlat's general Privacy Policy.
2. What stays on your phone
Atrévete has no accounts or sign-in, and does not ask you to identify yourself. It does not ask for your email, your phone number or your age. Atrévete does not send Softlat any data that you write in it.
The app stores on your phone:
- your settings, for example the country chosen for regional vocabulary, vibration, the card limit and whether the license is activated;
- the cards you create, with their text and their penalty;
- the cards you chose to hide;
- the record that you have already accepted the over-18 notice.
The names or nicknames of the players that you type, the scores and the game mode are not stored. They exist only in the phone's memory while the app is open and are lost when you close it.
A card's QR code is drawn on the screen so that another person can scan it with their camera; it is not sent over the internet. The app does not share content with other apps.
The app does not ask for permission to use the camera, the microphone, the location, the contacts or your files.
The app does not encrypt what it stores. That data is protected by your own phone's security, such as the screen lock. The app does not allow Android to include your data in the backup of your Google account.
3. Google ads
If you have not activated the license, Atrévete shows a banner. It also offers you a rewarded ad to support the app, only if you want to. The ads are served by Google AdMob.
To show them, the Google ads component built into the app collects and sends to Google, according to Google itself:
- the phone's IP address, from which the device's general location can be estimated;
- the Android advertising ID, the app set ID and, if applicable, other identifiers related to Google accounts signed in on the phone;
- interaction with the app and with the ads, for example opens, taps and video plays;
- diagnostic data about the performance of the app and of the ads component.
According to Google, this data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and is used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Where the law does not require prior consent, Google may use it to show you personalized ads. Google may process this data in any country where it operates. Softlat does not access that data.
The content of the ads is limited to material suitable for teens or of a lower rating (AdMob's T level).

4. Consent and how to change it
Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows you Google's consent form before loading ads. What you choose decides whether Google may use your data to personalize the ads. The app checks your choice every time you open it without a license.
Google's ads component stores on your phone your choice and other technical data that it needs to work.
Where the law requires it, you can change or withdraw your choice at any time from Ajustes > Privacidad de los anuncios (the app is in Spanish). That option appears only where it is required and after the app checks the status of your consent.
In any country, you can reset or delete the advertising ID from Android's settings (in the Google menu or the privacy menu, depending on the phone). That affects future ads.
5. Purpose and legal basis
The ad data is used to show ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud, which allows the app to be offered for free. Where the law requires your consent, that consent is the basis of the processing, and you may withdraw it as explained in section 4. Softlat does not receive the ad data, so it does not use it for any purpose.
6. License and payments
Atrévete offers a license that removes the ads. The license is bought once, with a single payment, through Google Play. Google Play shows the price before you confirm the purchase.
The payment is processed by Google, under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. The app does not process payments and Softlat does not receive your payment or card data.
The purchase is tied to your Google account. If you change phones or reinstall the app, you can restore the license with the same Google account.
When the license is activated, the app stops showing ads at that moment. From the next time you open it, it does not start Google's ads component. The app stores on your phone that the license is activated.
7. How to delete your data
Softlat does not keep any of your Atrévete data in its own systems. If you buy the license, Google Play shows Softlat the order record (number, product, price and status), which can be looked up by your account's email. You control the rest from your phone:
- to delete your cards, your settings and the hidden cards, clear Atrévete's data in Android's settings or uninstall the app;
- so that future ads are not tied to your current advertising ID, reset or delete it in Android's settings; this does not erase what Google has already collected;
- the data that Google holds is managed with Google's controls and privacy policy.
8. Retention
The data stored on your phone lasts until you delete it or uninstall the app. Google keeps the ad data and the license purchase data under its own policy; Softlat neither sets nor controls that period.
9. Your rights
Where the law recognizes them, you may ask for access, rectification, erasure, objection and restriction of the processing of your data, and withdraw your consent. Softlat keeps no data of yours from this app in its own systems (it only sees the order record in Google Play, if you bought the license), so almost everything is exercised from your phone and, for the ad and purchase data, with Google. You can still write to us at contacto@softlat.com or via WhatsApp at +591 639 96379, and we will reply within a reasonable time.
10. Over 18 only
Atrévete is only for people over 18. The first time it is opened, the app shows the notice and asks you to accept it, but it does not ask for or verify your age. Softlat does not knowingly collect data from minors. In the consent request to Google, the app declares that it has no users under the age of consent.
11. Changes to this policy
If what the app does with data changes, for example if a new service is added, we will update this policy before publishing that version and change the last-updated date on this page.
12. Contact
For any question about this policy or about your data, write to us at contacto@softlat.com or via WhatsApp at +591 639 96379.
